One girl’s vision of a wondrous star-filled sky ripe for exploration and discovery was selected from hundreds of entries submitted from across the country to the NASA student art contest.

Apoorva Panidapu, a sixth grader from California Connections Academy in Evergreen, California, was named grand-prize winner of NASA Langley Research Center’s Centennial Student Art Contest.

PRESIDENTIAL VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARDS 

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition.

In addition to my efforts to support African children, I have also been raising funds since 2015 for the VTS World Seva Organization and visually-challenged children in India by tutoring and participating in various community service projects.
